Draw days and times, the 23 prizes of a 4D board, how to check a 4D number straight or in any order, and how to claim.
About the draws and the prizes
What time are the 4D draws?
Every 4D game draws on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Magnum, Da Ma Cai, Sports Toto and the East Malaysian operators draw at 7pm Malaysian time and read the results out prize by prize over about 40 minutes; Singapore 4D draws at 6.30pm. Singapore Toto draws on Monday and Thursday at 9.30pm. Malaysia also holds special draws on some Tuesdays approved by the Ministry of Finance. Every game is on the draw times page.
How soon do results appear here?
While the draw is being read out, the board fills in prize by prize. A result carries the "being confirmed" mark until the second publisher shows the same numbers, which normally happens shortly after the draw ends.
How do I check a 4D number?
Type your number into the checker and it is compared with all 23 prizes of the draw: the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, the ten Special prizes (Starter in Singapore) and the ten Consolation prizes. A straight bet wins only if the number came out exactly as drawn; a permutation bet (i-Box, mBox, iBet) wins in any order of its digits, at a lower payout. A Big bet wins on any of the 23 prizes, a Small bet on the top three only.
And the Toto and Lotto games?
On Star Toto, Power Toto, Supreme Toto, Singapore Toto, Sabah Lotto and Magnum Life your board is compared with the balls drawn, in any order. Some add a bonus or additional number that counts in some prizes, such as Singapore Toto's Additional Number. Each game's prize page shows its prize groups.
How much does a ticket cost?
Bet prices and the smallest stake are set by each operator and can change; see the current price at an outlet or on the operator's official site. The prize tables on this site are stated per RM1 in Malaysia and per S$1 in Singapore.
Is a prize taxed?
This site does not give tax or legal advice. Ask the operator how much you will be paid, and if you are unsure about tax, ask a qualified tax adviser.
How long do I have to claim?
Each operator sets its own time limit, and a prize not claimed in time is lost. Check the back of your ticket or the operator's rules, and do not leave it to the last moment.
Where do I claim a prize?
With the operator that ran the draw. Where you claim can depend on the amount: smaller prizes are often paid at the operator's outlets and larger ones at its own offices. Bring the original ticket and your identity card. The claim page has what we know.
What are Special and Consolation prizes?
Every 4D draw has 23 prizes: a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, ten Special prizes (called Starter prizes in Singapore) and ten Consolation prizes. In Malaysia a Big bet of RM1 pays RM 2,500, RM 1,000 and RM 500 for the top three, RM 180 for a Special and RM 60 for a Consolation prize; a Small bet of RM1 pays RM 3,500, RM 2,000 and RM 1,000 for the top three only. In Singapore a Big bet of S$1 pays S$2,000, S$1,000, S$490, S$250 and S$60, and a Small bet S$3,000, S$2,000 and S$800.
Can I buy tickets or place bets on this site?
No. This site does not sell tickets or take bets. 4D is legal only through the licensed operators' outlets and channels, and you should be wary of any page that promises sure numbers.
Why does a result sometimes say "being confirmed"?
Because one publisher has the full result, but the second one has not shown it yet. The numbers are almost certainly right, and the mark goes when both publishers agree, or after 24 hours if nothing contradicts them. If they differ, nothing is published until a person has checked, and any correction is recorded.
Does this site sell tickets or give numbers to play?
Neither. Lotto4ds is an independent information site, not affiliated with any operator. We sell nothing, take nothing from readers and publish no predictions, tips or "lucky numbers". Every draw is random and independent.
How do I check a ticket on this site?
Open the 4D number checker, choose the game and the date and type your numbers, one or several. The comparison happens in your browser, so your numbers never leave your device. Then compare with the operator's official results before you go to claim.
Are there draws on other days?
In Malaysia, yes: special draws on some Tuesdays, approved by the Ministry of Finance, 22 of them a year. Singapore has none. Operators can also move or cancel a draw; the changes we know about appear on the draw times page and on the page of each draw.
None of this is legal or tax advice. Rules can change without notice. The operator's official rules and results are the reference for any claim.
